hildes, it is fitted a bit at the waist without the belt--I'd call it semi fitted. If you follow the link to my blog in the review (pattern description section) I do have a photo there of the top unbelted on my dressform. Wait . . . I'll edit my review to add a direct link to the photo.

Great top, thanks for your review! And very well done with your translations. You're right about the finishing on the neckline and also about the meaning of the word 'stikken', funny, I never realised! I bought this issue and this is one of the patterns I like a lot (currently I'm working on blouse 20). Would love to see pictures of you wearing the top though.. I'm also looking forward to your purple version as the pleats will be more visible. As you can pull the top on over your head, is the top fitted at all around the waist without the belt? Hard to tell from the magazine.
