First things first. There will be no laughing at my chubby body! I can't believe I'm actually posting a picture of myself in a swimsuit.

Pattern Description:

Misses' swimsuit and pants. I'm a bit confused why they put yoga type pants with a swimsuit, though!

Pattern Sizing:

XS - XL

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

I am only reviewing the top but it looked just like the picture. I made bottoms too but I copied them from a pair that I already have that I know fit me.

Were the instructions easy to follow?

Really easy and this is my first swimsuit ever so I relyed on them heavily.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?

It actually covers all the boob parts that I want to cover! I usually have a problem with side spillage. I cut out an XL for the bottom part and it was still snug so I added a little as I wanted it to skim my body rather than cling to it.

Fabric Used:

Lycra swimsuit fabric from my locally owned fabric store.

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:

I thought the strap was going to be too short so I added a couple inches. I ended up taking out the couple inches plus a couple more. I widened the bottom part and I made the under bust elastic a bit shorter than called for. I have a really short back so next time I'll make the top of the back portion a bit lower.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?

I will sew it again as soon as I get some more lycra I ordered off ebay and I highly recommend it.

Conclusion:

I've always shyed away from making swimsuits because I thought they'd be very difficult but this was super easy. I will be making more for myself and my kids.
