Could anyone help me understand the pattern pieces? I'm cutting out size 12 and the side back and front follow a cutting line that looks wider than for the bigger sizes. The front and back look logical ,following a narrower fit cutting line. Is this right?

I especially appreciate the photo of your lining. I'm getting back into sewing after many years and am studying this pattern and Jackets for Real People. Your post is very helpful.

Very nice looking jacket! I have this pattern and plan to make it up soon. I will certainly line it, though, like you did. Thanks for the review!

Beautiful jacket that looks great on you, and good to see an example of stitch and flip results. Thanks!

Thanks for all the nice comments! LisaRM actually the shell is dark brown but it does look black in the pic. However, that is why I liked this fabric so much, it will go with khaki, tan, brown and black. I do love the stitch and flip. Have you made anymore projects since the class?

Nice jacket, and the black shell works well with it. Don't you just love stitch & flip!

Lovely jacket and beautiful fit. Congrats on the weight loss. You are so discplined to do that. This is a very classic shape which means it will be useful for so many things for quite a while.
