This is a very helpful review and sorry you put all that effort into something that disappointed you (I liked the price tag on the pattern!) Part of the issue with this result is the placement of the print. You might try placing your pattern pieces to take advantage that. I'm a pear, too. By placing the darker parts of the print help de-emphasize the body where necessary. It looks like you fought the good fight on this one, so good on you!

I appreciated the picture of the pattern piece. It's always really interesting to me to see how pattern companies other than the Big 4 draft. I think you have a really cute li'l dress... er, nightgown!

Sometimes it is good to know what doesn't work. Sounds like this pattern has way to many built in problems! You used great fabric, and I hope it is comfy as a night wear item!
