| Pattern Description:
From the Kwik Sew website: "The camisole has cups with tucks, spaghetti shoulder straps, hemmed bottom edge and the top edge can be hemmed or finished with lace."
The pattern also includes two panties and a slip.
Pattern Sizing:
XS-S-M-L-XL . I did a S
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Well pretty similar, but there is no photo on the envelope, just a drawing, which just isn't as accurate as a photo. The cups are a bit looser fitting than it looks on the drawing.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
They were a dream to follow! Everything step was very clearly described with illustrations and they all made sense. I did a few steps my own way, but I realized that the methods that Kwik Sew suggested was actually better. The top took me less than 2 hours from start to finish.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Like: The fit, it's fitted but not super tight, this pattern was designed in 1995 and was made for single knits and tricot and not really for lycra fabrics, but lycra fabrics works too. Also I like that it looks like a classic camisole, like the ones from the 30's and onwards. Also the fact that is so easy to make doesn't hurt either.
Dislike: Nothing really.

Fabric Used:
A wonderful black silk/rayon/lycra single jersey and stretch lace.
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
The only change I did was shortening the straps. Since the fabrics is so stretchy the straps stretches out quite a bit.
Next time I'll make the straps wider also, since those tiny spaghetti ones fall off my shoulders.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes I will, and I think others will like it too. If you are an a-cup, don't expect to fill out the cami cups, but the pattern is drafted that way just like camisoles were before lycra fabrics became readily available.
Conclusion:
A winner in my book | Buy this pattern for $11.49 Add to Bag |
