This is my full review for the wardrobe contest. My theme is "Holding On To Summer", because I love summer and summery colors. It consists of a couple bright blues and greens, and then some more subdued neutrals to balance it out and take it into fall.

Most of these pieces will be work wear for me, since I have to dress very comfortably (=casual) for my job. Also, my job has a strict dress code, so every top I'm making has sleeves.

All pictures can be found in my flickr album

My original storyboard can be found on my blog post here

Here are the details for each piece:

Tops:
- BWOF 06-2009-102: Click Here
Knit top with pleated bodice I made in a navy cotton jersey recycled from a dress

- BWOF 05-2009-103A: Click Here
Knit wrap-over bodice top with pleats and waistband, made in couture green ribbed jersey from Fabric Mart

- Manequim 447: Click Here
Ruffle collar blouse with puff sleeves made in a blue & white silk/cotton twill print

- Simplicity 3887: Click Here
Flowy gathered top with tie belt and round yoke neckline. I made View C in a navy & white poly chiffon bubble print

- Simplicity 3789: Click Here
A blouse with faux wrap front and princess seams. I modified View E into a real wrap in bright green cotton/lycra shirting.

Bottoms:
- Vogue 2907: Click Here
Modern fit trousers with wide waistband made from khaki colored cotton twill.

- Copied from RTW trousers: Click Here
Denim trousers for work with slanted pockets and single welt back pockets. Made from striated stretch denim.

- New Look 6918: Click Here
Straight skirt with pockets and pleats (which I slanted). I made View E in a charcoal heathered wool jersey.

- BS "A-Plus A-Line": Click Here
Pleated front A-line skirt with wide waistband made in gray rayon jersey knit.

Topper:
- Simplicity 2508: Click Here
Trench/jacket with welt front pockets, button bands on sleeves, belt, and a shawl collar which was substituted from S 2858.

Thanks!
To my sister for taking all of the amazing pictures for me (so much patience!), and my husband for putting up with many many hours of sewing...

Mary Nanna 9/30/09It looks totally fabulous - I love it - it will be really really stylish - it's true that you have got a lot of sewing in that selection (the trench in particular - there a lot of details in it) but even if you don't finish on time for the competition, those outfits are total winners!

Coastal Connie 12/4/09what a great wardrobe! Nice work on the details, especially the blue coat...it is lovely. Next--work on your dart placement...looks like some adjustments could be made in several of the tops so that they fit you even better. (they look great, but that would just help your skills even more). Where do you find the time to sew so many items and work?!
