Pattern Description:
Baby and toddler costume patterns for dinosaur, bear, lion, bunny, and/or cat. I made the bear.
Pattern Sizing:
XS (6mo), S (12 mo), M (2 yo), L (3 yo), and XL (4 yo). I made the M and my child is 21 months old.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very easy and straightforward.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This pattern is very simple to sew and results in a costume that is cute and still comfortable for a baby to wear and walk around in. I especially liked that the paws were actually mittens so that her hands can still be free and that there were no feet so that she can wear her shoes easily.
My only dislikes were that the arms and legs seemed to be sized extremely long...I had to cut out A LOT to make it fit.
Fabric Used:
Fleece.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I wanted to make this look like her favorite toy, which is a carebear. So, I added a rainbow applique to the stomach, heart appliques to the hand, and hair and a bow at the top of the head. Otherwise, I followed the pattern exactly.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would definitely make this pattern again and would recommend it to others.
Conclusion:
This is very simple to sew, very comfortable to wear, and turns out really cute (in my opinion)!
