Yep, I'm guilty of sewing up a pattern that ends up a wadder and THEN I look up reviews for it. Duh. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience & good luck finding & sewing another vest in a hurry. I'm laughing about the "girly" vest comment too. :)

I wish I had read this before I made this vest for my son :( I made a size 6, which was the correct size for my son"s measurements according to the envelope. My son is a VERY small 10-year-old, so I didn't think anything of it when the pattern gave such a small size for his measurements. It was sooo short, even after lengthening an inch. Luckily, this was just a Mark Twain costume for a Famous Missourian project at school.
