Lovely little jacket and very stylish. Sue, Vogue regularly requests readers to send in vintage Vogue patterns for them to consider for their vintage line. I'm pretty sure they return the pattern when they're done with it. You might want to email their consumer services division with a photocopy of the pattern front and ask them if they are interested. You're right, it would make a great re-issue.

Sue - I adore your jacket (and choice of fabric). Skilled work Sue. Were you tempted to keep the extended shoulders? LB at 19 wearing that houndstooth suit in "To have and have not' has been my screen saver for ages.

Thank you all for your nice comments. I may send of a picture to Vogue. It seems, though that they don't re-issue this sort of pattern. All the re-issues I've seen are complete outfits: a full dress or a suit. Re the shoulders: The muslin shoulders were HUGEly wide. It's hard to image this look was ever a good one, but I supposed if everyone is wearing such things it would look OK. The shoulders on this one are a tad wider that what I usually use on my jackets. My nod to the 40's without looking like a clown.
