| Pattern Description: Cap sleve dress, below mid-knee length with side zipper, fitted self-lined bodice and flared, gathered skirt.
Pattern Sizing: 16
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yep, it's exactly the same.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Mostly. I found the instructions for the middle of the bust a bit confusing and I ended up improvising. Other than that though, It was quite easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved the capped sleeves, the V-neck bust line (although sometimes it can feel a little too revealing) and the full skirt. I am a huge fan of vintage sillhouettes!
Fabric Used: Bottle green gaberdine. It falls really nicely, but it's a bit hot for the Queensland climate. I have also made a peach satin version which worked well and make it a lot more formal looking.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None really, I followed this one to a T.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I adore this pattern and I would sew it again providing that the fabric was right and had a little stretch in it. I wou;d reccommend it to the expereinced sewer.
Conclusion: I think this dress turned out beautifully, I love these retro patterns!

To add more photos other than the thumbnail you need to put your photos in an online photo site like Flickr. Then go back to your review and hit edit, you will need to sign in. Then to make the main photo clickable put the link in the box, one of the ones above the main review.
