Congratulations on completing your quilt. I agree that quilting takes much time. You may find that it is easier after taking a beginning class. Thin batting might have been easier for your machine to sew through. All in all you got a great result.

What a beautiful quilt! Love the black applique against those cheerful colors! I know what you mean about not realizing what you're getting into with your first quilt - mine is still waiting to be finished. :-)

I think it's beautiful--I just love the black applique against the patchwork! Using a blanket inside the quilt is not cheating!
