The grosgrain band at the waist is such a good idea. I find the structure inside a dress is so so so important to how it fits and feels. I can imagine it keeps the dress 'down' and helps maintain tension of the shoulders for a nice clean line. Fun contrasting lining too! You go girl!

Hubba hubba hubba! You know what you look like? A pin-up girl. This outfit is a total knockout with that jacket. It's got a sultry retro look and with your hairstyle, the color and texture are fabulous. Nice job on the sewing too!!
