Lovely result! The french seams are extra work but make it look so nice on the inside!

OMG! There is a Michael Kors white, wrap style, coton blouse on the Neiman Marcus website for $795.00. Your version is even cuter. I am getting this pattern. Thanks for the review!! Annette

I'm getting ready to cut out my own version. I appreciate your tips. I hope mine turns out as cute as yours.

I really like the wider bands, makes stronger vertical lines resulting in a more slimming look to my eye--they are a better balance with the prominent horz. pleats. Perhaps not a good idea for the smallest sizes--it always amazes me that pattern companies think that the same size band will look the same on a size 10 & a size 20, even though the amount of 'field' on either side of the bands has increased considerably by the time it goes all the way around me. I'm curious how you got your bands to lay so flat with no bias ripples since they are cut & sewn on a curve. Did you use any techniques beyond those in the pattern's instructions (besides widening)? I'm considering parallel rows of topstitching 1/4" apart on the bands--like trapunto without the filling. Do you think this would prevent bias ripples at the curves and keep it from bagging open where the band turns to lay up against the neck? I admire your work and if you have the time your opinion would be appreciated. Thanks for your post, it has helped me decide this blouse is a definite Yes! Melanie
