Wow, those are beautiful! I admire your work so. I'd be interested to know how the silk holds up. Does the cotton twill help preserve the silk?-Ann

Very nice; loved looking at the pictures. What is a basque?

Thanks everyone. To answer your question Anne, the basque is the top part of the tutu skirt that goes on the waist. It is attached to the top of the tutu skirt. The bodice goes over the basque and attaches with elastic.

Those are gorgeous! I've just looking @ everyone's sewing and feel dwarfed by great talent! I hope one day I can sew that well. Those gals are lucky to have you to make their outfits! We always had to order my daughters when she was in ballet.

These are gorgeous. Did you have professional training in how to do these? And when you attach the basque to the bodice, how do you do this with elastic? I have made classical tutus also (trying to figure out as I went what to do), and hand-tacked the basque to the bodice. Yours are absolutely fabulous, worth $1.000.00s to the studio, I hope they annoint you queen or something!!

Do you sew professionally? These tutu's are stunning and you sound so matter of fact about it all in your review! Well done.

Tutu School?!?!? I didn't know there was such a thing. Where is this? Sounds like it would be fun. Excellent work--I enjoyed reading your review.

I know it's very serious and all, but Tutu School is just too funny. Good for you! I certainly hope you get paid for these tutu's (or if not, they had better have paid for your school! ).

Terrific tutus! Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations. Given the cost of even the plainest tutu, you're a gift to the dance school! Thank you for sharing the pictures. Makes me nostaligic for DD's dancing days.

You should write a review on your tutu class. I would be interested in hearing reading about it before I spend all that money. Great Job on those tutus.

awesome work, I'd love to be able to make dance costumes one day - and come to think of it, to be able to dance too!
