You might feel happier with the shirt if you reduced the bulk of the sleeves. Next time, a softer fabric might be another improvement. Otherwise it's quite pretty as it is, and you'll like it better when you've worn it more.

I find more to like than dislike about your top! It looks very comfortable to wear on a hot day and the billowing sleeves provide air conditioning :) Personally, I dislike extra fabric around the middle. Perhaps the sleeves are more of a statement if the body is more streamlined? Maybe if you wash and tumble dry, the fabric will be softer. I agree with FreyaStark that you should wear it awhile and then decide. Thanks for the tip using rivets for the drawstring.

I agree that the sleeves are large-ish but, you know, they are supposed to be. You might just be getting out of your comfort zone for fit and it never helps to have someone laughing. If you wear this top a bit, you might start to love it. It looks so cool and airy and...artsy!

thanks for the heads up on the full sleeve. This is a pattern I had next on my list. Just waiting for the eyelet to go on sale at Joann's . I think I'll take some of the width out of the sleeve. Thanks!!!
