I've got this book but haven't sewn anything yet (though I've got the On the Sidelines sweatshirt ready to go), so your comments about the printing and instructions and SAs and terminology are REALLY HELPFUL! I'd forgotten about this style in the book, but yours looks really nice and it's a great use for a tricky fabric. I think it was worth the hassles in the end!

I like your idea of using junk mail or other used paper for printing patterns. And your jackets are also stunning. The two fabrics you chose show how versatile this pattern can be.
