did you use a sewing machine, or serger for the hems and neckline? They look great.

I have only my sewing machine and used a small zig-zag-stitch first, then a straight-stitch in the seam allowance to reinforce it. For the hem, I believe they suggest that you sew a straight-stitch while stretching the fabric slightly at the same time and I did that twice for the hemw to get that twin-needle look. ( I didn't have a twin-needle at the time.) This really is a great basic pattern, I need to make some more for spring!
