I really love your colour choice and those stripes! I've got this pattern but it's rarely too hot for me to run in long trousers here so I've yet to make it! Your alterations sound like good improvements, too.

Thanks for the detailed review and images on your blog. The additions you have made sound like very good ideas - espeically the elastic at the waist! I have this pattern waiting, and waiting - time to dig it out and sew it up for the stash contest (since the fabric has been waiting, and waiting also!). I also enjoyed your videos - great idea while at work.

Looks great with the contrasting inset! I made this skort to wear with a tankini swimsuit since I had extra fabric. In that case it worked OK without elastic, but I was thinking it would be necessary in most applications. Yikes! Glad you were able to remedy. Thanks for the great blog (Don't fear the ripper, indeed!). I'll have to make the full skort next time!
