This is a great skirt! It looks like it fits you very well. Thanks for the hint about working for "pear" shapes! I was wondering about that for myself. I usually don't wear things with tops tucked-in. However, this is inspiring me! Does the ambiance lining have problems with static? Here in the dry southwest it is always an issue. I'm wondering what would be my best choice for linings with the least static. Congrats on your first review. I think you did a great job - just enough detail and hints.

Thanks for doing this review. Your skirt looks so nice on you. The note on sewing a center front seam so that you could use a 45" width fabric was a good call. There are many more 45" fabrics out there than 60" and your "save" allows for greater choice of fabrics. Nice work on your first review. BTW, Kathy, Ambiance is my lining of choice and I really don't think I have ever had static issues with it, not that I can thnk of ~ and winter here in MI is really dry and static prone.

Very cute skirt! I didn't realize you were pear shaped until I read the whole review. To me, this means a great garment that disguises flaws while being stylish and flattering.

Thank you all for the kind words. Kathy I use the rayon to avoid static cling problems. It's my first choice for most projects although I will use china silk if it's a special outfit.

This is one of my favorite skirt patterns, although I've always made view A. View B is a lot sleeker through the hips using the pleats instead of gathers. I really like your fabric and the finished item looks really versatile for multiple seasons.
