An impressively adventurous project. It sounds like a good advertisement for stretch fabrics. I can remember wearing a swimsuit made with woven fabric but it was a very long time ago.

Thank you! 21wale, if you do a search for e.g. "1930s people exercising" you can find a surprising number of photos, several of them with people in outfits rather like this. Getty Images (NAYY) for one has lots.

This is SO CUTE! I hope you wear it LOTS. I love the way the shorts wrap around, and also the little cap sleeves on the top -- AND it ties in the front. There's not MUCH midriff showing, and I think you could easily wear this wherever you want to. :o)
