Very cute fabric! I'm 5' btw, and in US patterns, I just fold the 1in or so lines usually pinted on the pattern. Reason: My shoulder to bust measurement is standard, not so from bust to waist. So my advice is to take good measurements first. A good reference book like Fit for Real People is an investment to consider, too. Hope this helps you out!

I think the dress turned out really cute. Your fabric choice is nice. Hopefully you can figure out a way to fix the straps the way you would like them. I hope you enjoy wearing your lovely dress!
