I do think the pattern would work so much better with a lighter weight fabric. I actually saw samples made up when I bought the pattern. I also think it would be best to smock the neckline to help the sleeves lay down a bit.

I have this pattern and haven't made it. I want to though. Do you think the proportions are ok for the sleeves if you use a lighter weight fabric?
