These are great-looking pants, Nick! I wish my husband would make ME some cool pants. I have this pant pattern and made a test garment of it and liked the fit but agree that a drop-front button closure is infinitely preferable to a zip and a faux bib. I love that you figured out how to make the drop-front closure with this pattern. I recently made Kwik Sew 3854 and added the long legs from this pattern to achieve the same end. Cheers!

This is one of my favorite patterns, and you are right about the sizing. It can be greatly shortened - I'm five feet one, and they look good on me too with about 9 inches taken off (some at the thigh, some at the hem).
