it is perfect for the heat I made it out of a light weight linen. I also had trouble with the sleeve hemming so I added binding to my second one.

I just cut out the facings and front & back pieces for this dress last night. I plan on cutting the lining and pocket pieces tonight to whip it up. Your dress has me wishing I had stayed up late last night to work on it!
