I'm impressed you did this without a pattern! Those directions from the 1924 Dress Book must have fixed themselves in your head. The jacket looks perfect for your quick trips out, but I can also imagine taking this from casual to elegant with the right fabric.

What a great idea. Perfect for when you just need something lightweight and casual. I like Renren's idea of using a different fabric to make it dressier also.

Nice jacket, looks very useful and like a great use for gauze. It seems like 1920s style dresses can be difficult for most people to wear, so changing this to a jacket sounds like an excellent idea.
