That looks nice. I'm quite intrigued about the elastic waistline treatment, specifically how you left 1/2 inch of the 1.5 inch elastic free at the bottom, stitching down 1 inch from the top of the skirt. I would have guessed the bottom edge would have flipped and added thickness. Very interesting.

Great fit. Love the tips about substituting woven for a knit and measuring too.

Renren - Loes Hinse suggested this application to me when I was in her shop last spring. I have a small waist, but very flat back, so skirts tend to fall down on me and twist. She says she uses this application on pants all the time. The extra length on the inside give you more hugging power, yet the look on the outside is much smoother.

Great skirt! Thanks for the tip on the elastic waist - that's brilliant. I love this pattern, too. As a variation, I tried on several skirts in Christine Jonson's studio that were knee-length and loved them, only to find out they were the A-Line Skirt just chopped off!
