sewingelle, evey garment I make the first time around is a test garment- as I have no idea how it will sew up!! I used a remnant fabric from Tricia's Warehouse in Adelaide found a couple of years ago for a very reasonable price, and it is good quality and pretty. I love it when a garment turns out to work well enough to wear and look good. Will upload some additional photos soon to the photo collection at flickr as the skirt sits much better now.

This is great fabric! Lovely colour and I like the texture it seems to have ( at least it looks that way in the photo). Are you sure this is just a test garment?! This looks like a very versatile skirt pattern
