Great advice about extending the pleats. I was thinking of making this too, and I was worried about the maternity look.

Thank you jenlee. I've since made an adjustment and sewn the tucks down to the waistline which has removed a lot of the fullness from the front.

Your top looks very pretty. It seems most maternity gear these days is very fitted so it is probably less maternity looking than you think, lol!
