Oh, that is gorgeous and not at all frumpy! Thank you for providing the construction details on your fabulous website. I was very surprised to learn about the picot finishing being used on Chanel gowns in the 20's/30's. Also, your mention about the fabric pieces not being attached right sides together, but by folding the edge over and fancy zig-zagging on top of the other piece. I'm looking forward to reading your blog more thoroughly!
