I love this style, although the sleeve bands screamed "Romulan Honor Guard" on me. I ended up stitching them to the dress. Your fabric is lovely.

Love your modified version. I have this pattern but have been nervous to sew it. Using a patterned fabric works well and I think looks better than the envelope photo.
