Bindi, give this wadder 15minutes of your time, then hang it In the closet, you may want to use some of the fabric later. Or donate it. For dependable fit and good styling, take a look at lekala or Lutterloh, they are tailored to your measurements. There are both Lutterloh and Lekala threads on the message boards under Pattern Modifications... Please, please , please, always measure the sleeve before you cut. If you ned an inch or less more width you can simply cut the sleeve wider. Otherwise I suggest you look online for some videos about sleeve width, or buy a good reference book, like Fit for Real People or the Vogue sewing book. Don't lose heart. You have many friends here that will give you support.

thanks for the review... it will save me heartache. each time i look at jacket alternatives, i end up back at the vogue patterns. in 20 yrs their cut has and fit has been very good... only 1 designers is ordinary. i hope you try a vogue pattern. jackets you make yourself are always such great wardrobe staples. thanks again for saving me heartache..

My heart aches for your disappointment as I have been there at times throughout my sewing adventures. You invest so much and then...ugh. Keep looking though, there are great jacket patterns out there that fit well.
