Really cute top. I have used both methods of binding, but if you have a binding foot (and a little practice) it takes half the time to do the pre folded because you only have to stitch it once. I think I tend to use the method you did more often though. Love your fabric choice.

I just made a muslin of this top today. Like others, I had issue with the neck binding. I cut 2" wide binding on the bias and sewed on right side first with 3/8" seam allowance. Then folded to the inside, over the seam allowance, and stitched in the ditch. I cut piece of 1/4" elastic and inserted it thru the channel inside neckline binding. This was just enough to get the neckline to lay flat. I really like this pattern and will make it again using the 2" wide bias for neckline binding.
