This is a great modification to both patterns. I like your idea of lining the skirt with tricot. Sometimes knit fabrics are too revealing in the back (especially for work).

Hmmmm, I have both of these patterns! Great dress, looks very nice on you. I have made the top many times and love, still have not made the dress.
