Pattern Description: Basic sleeveless dress with princess seamed bodice and an aline skirt.
Pattern Sizing:I made a 42 in the top tapering to a 44 at the waist.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?yes though I messed a few things up by just looking at the pictures.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked that it too 2 yards of each fabric and that its a flattering cut.
Fabric Used:rayon (I think) for the outer and broadcloth for the lining.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The back was standing up and to large at the neck. I think this is bc most of my chest measurement is in the 34Ds in the front. I ended up having it v down a bit in the back to fix this problem. I think I like this better though as it is cooler this way and its been super hot here.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I may try one of the other two versions at some point of make it with out the front flounce.
Conclusion: I'm glad I finally made something out of the Burda style book. Here's a link to my blog post.Click Here
