Wonderful! I'm glad your son is enjoying his Elmer. My daughter named hers Elton John (she's 20) and carried her little elephant around all weekend. I wasn't sure she would like it but it was a great hit! Love the tie in with the storybook. Lucky son--he knew his mama could sew him an Elmer. I also think a standing up elephant would be cool. (You've got a herd on the horizon, too. Dd wants her next one to be in Burberry plaid and she will name it Sir Charles. Very British. Looks like we are going into the elephant business, myraminx.)

Certainly does - I think I will have tried every elephant pattern in the world by the time I have made all the elephants I have been asked for (of course my 5 year old son might have made it to 20 by the time I get them all done!!)
