Thank you all for your nice comments. I hesitated before posting photos like these - but they may be useful to other people so here they are. Cuffs, the real warding off monkeys pose has both arms out - much better - but one has to make do with ones limitations (cellphone)

I wish I had read your pattern review before I made a trial pair in a not so stretch jersey. My legs look like they were in sausage casings. After reading your review I will give them another go with stretchier fabric. Thanks.
