I am working on this pattern and feel particularly stupid. The instructions say that the length of the elastic needed is marked on the pattern sheet, but for the life of me I cannot find it. Is it merely the length of the top edge, doubled? Much obliged for any info - and I'm very grateful for your review!

Thank you very much for the review - I'm about to make this and was wondering about the fabric and what characteristics it needed. Looks lovely on you.
