Just an FYI, straight stitching the foldover elastic on the right side after zigzag stitching it to the inside, works really well and looks a little tidier especially on knit tops. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the review. Glad to hear you like this pattern the best of the three you tried. FYI, when I looked online for various instructions for sewing picot elastic, FOE, and stretch lace, there were quite a few contradictory instructions! I like to use my coverstitch machine for stitching on the outside, which I've seen in RTW, but no one suggested coverstitching in any instructions that I read. I don't see a problem with zigzagging the final stitching, because the stitches would be less likely to pop, and if the thread matches, it will look fine. I might buy this popular pattern!
