A very nice first skirt to sew for my return to sewing after many years off. I did version B in a stretch fabric. The size 12 fitted well. The only alteration was that I took it up about 4 inches.
Instructions were easy peasy to follow
It was so successful I sewed it again but in a non-stretch heavy drill type fabric. I whipped up the same size as the stretch version and what do you know - it looked just as fabulous but I couldn't sit down in it. So I put in an exposed zipper right down the back the full length of the skirt. (Thanks Angela Wolf for your video on that!) I also used bias binding for the waist and had no waistband. I did not adjust for this change but it made no real difference to how it sat. I recommend this to everyone - as a first time project if you are a beginner, a returning to sewing person like me or a seasonal sew in different fabrics.
Conclusion: Just do it!
