Pattern Description: Misses button down shirt with sleeve variations, length variations
Pattern Sizing: Size 6-14 I cut out a size 10 for the shoulders, 16 for the chest with no FBA, 16 for the sleeves and 16 for the hips.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Except for having more of 3/4 length rolled up sleeves, yes it looks like View A. Since I am short I made more of the length of View B.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the rolled up sleeves; no dislikes
Fabric Used: A cotton shirting with a little stretch
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Regarding the collar, it says to pin neck band to neck edge and stitch. Then it says to press under 3/8 inch on the notched edge of the neck band facing and stitch this right sides together to the neck bank. Turn neck band facing to inside and press facing over seam and on the outside stitch neck band close to the seam catching in the pressed edge of facing on the inside. I found that with just turning down 3/8 inch that it didn't catch. I ended up pressing under 5/8 inch instead.
I ended up pinning in the darts in the back after having it almost finished so I could try it on and position them where I want them. I didn't bring the darts down to the hem.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will use this pattern again. I highly recommend it.
Conclusion: I love this shirt!
