I am so angry right now but I feel it is important to note that Burda patterns, as far as I am concerned should not be on the market. Their quality control department does not exist.
I am not an accomplished seamstress by any stretch of the imagination, but on this pattern I chose to make hat style "B" which has little ear flaps. Something told me to make a practice hat before getting into the material I purchased because I had a lot of trouble with the last Burda pattern I used. Boy am I glad I did a practice hat. There actually is no "B" in the patterns. What they did was use hat style "A" and in the middle of the directions, changed the picture to appear like "B" (with ear flaps) while the piece of fabric in front of me was still like "A". I read through the directions again for the umpteenth time and there is no mention of the ear flaps or sewing around them, or anything. It just magically appears in the drawings. There is no sewing directions whatsoever for the hat with regard to the ear flaps.
I will never ever ever buy another Burda pattern so help me and I will recommend to all that will listen to do the same. |

This isn't normal for Burda -- they're normally very careful and have very precise, high-quality patterns. Perhaps you should contact them, or the store where you bought the pattern.
