Pattern Description: Knit dress in 2 lengths with bodice and sleeve variations.

Pattern Sizing: AX5 (4-6-8-10-12) This pattern also comes with cup sizes A,B,C & D.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes it did. I made view A.

Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved the nice simple design. It was easy to get a good fit with the different cup sizes provided.

Fabric Used: I used a black ponte knit purchased from The Remnant Warehouse online. (This is the second time I have purchased fabric from this website Click here Their service is fantastic and I have received my order within 2 days of ordering.) I absolutely loved how this fabric sewed. It is such a stable knit and gives a great neat result. Nothing like the lightweight poly knits I have been struggling with lately. I used a Schmetz jersey needle size 90/14. This handled the fabric well. There are some areas that are many layers thick but this wasn't a problem. I just went very slowly turning the wheel by hand in the really thick areas. I want to make everything out of ponte now. Ha Ha

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I cut a straight size 12 with a D cup. The only changes I made was to add 12cm to the length (I didn't want it to be a mini skirt) and I omitted the zip. It is a bit of a struggle to get it on, but not too hard. I might put the zip in when I make it again. Next time I would peg the hem a little more just to give it a bit more shape.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I would like to sew this one again, maybe in a nice bright jewel tone ponte. I would also like to try view B with the stretch lace sleeves. I would definitely recommend this one.

Conclusion: I love how this pattern turned out. I love the fit...not too tight around the middle and the fact that I didn't have to do any fit alterations to the pattern. It's great that you can wear a bra without it showing too. More photos Click here
