Yes and No - I was lucky I had made this up before, because you can struggle with creating the wings which sits on the chest in the front - once you work it out its simple but I did scratch my head a few times trying to understand their instructions - I recommend you follow the instructions using the paper pattern and then it sort of makes sense.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This is a really versatile pattern that can be made for daytime or evening wear.
Fabric Used:
Lycra mix fabric out of my stash, gold panels from an unused kaftan given to me as a gift.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Because I used a stretch fabric I left out the zipper, it goes on really easily, other than that no other changes. I didn't line this version of the dress, but instead made a new set of facings from the black lycra fabric to make sure it could still stretch when getting the dress on over my head.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I have made it twice now, once blogged about here
