Pattern Description: jersey top with shoulder yolks in a contrasting fabric
Pattern Sizing: sizes 34-44 i made a 44.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes but i decided to make the longer version. i then shortened it to my liking.
Were the instructions easy to follow? no but when is burda ever easy to follow. for the most part i disregarded the instructions because the construction was pretty basic.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the contrasting shoulder yolks. i think it makes the pattern fun and youthful. i had some trouble with the key hole and will try to correct that on my next attempt.
Fabric Used: A cotton jersey blend that i got at Joann's
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I decided to set the sleeves in flat instead of easing them in. i've never set sleeves in flat before but found it to be much easier then expected.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I'm planning to make another one right now. I have decided to extend the contrasting fabric on to the back of the shirt as well. this one was my practice shirt so the next one will hopefully be my master piece
Conclusion: great basic shirt with a little flair. a nice addition to my wardrobe!
