I made view B, size 12: a floor length formal gown with a contrasting lace yoke and a sweeping train. The pattern includes sizes 10-24.
The instructions were easy to follow, but different from the typical Simplicity/McCall's/Butterick format. The layout for the pattern pieces is printed on the pattern paper itself, not in the instructions.
For each seam, a number is printed on the pattern piece corresponding with the numbered steps in the directions. This is helpful. Also, there are no notches to align on the pattern pieces, just small circles. This is different, but not bad.
I cut my normal pattern size 12. Although the bodice and waist seam did not come directly under my 36C (and I didn't expect it to), it still hung beautifully. It minimized the bust just enough and kept a distinct empire waist.
The lace yoke is a beautiful detail, and not too difficult for an intermediate seamstress. Using the yoke pattern piece, I cut another yoke out of organza and basted the lace yoke to it before attaching the yoke to the bodice. This way the bust wouldn't be pulling down on the flimsy lace too much.
The scallop is attached separately from the yoke. I used a small zigzag stitch.
The pattern calls for a 24 inch zipper. The longest zipper to be found in a sewing shop is 22 inches. Although I ordered a 24 inch zipper from Etsy, but a 22 inch zipper would work just as well.
I used a crepe-backed satiny material for this dress. The satin part was midnight blue with a blackish sheen - probably meant for a more slinky dress, but it worked beautifully for this pattern.
This pattern is one of the few formal dress patterns to be found with classic lines, a modest neckline, and sleeves. I would recommend it for a bridesmaid's dress, military ball, or recital performance.
