| Pattern Description:
Evening dress
Pattern Sizing:
8-20
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, even after customizing the dress.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Reasonably easy for a beginner moving on to more difficult patterns. The skirt pleats were easy and my modifications based on my toile were easy to implement on the pattern.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Loved the skirt length but in retrospect I didn't need to add a zip, even with the fitted style on the top half I could still get the dress on without it.
Fabric Used:
Lawn from Liberty
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Omitted the belt at the back, added sequin appliqué trim to shoulders and neckline, added a sequin belt and rose trim on the hem to style it for a Christmas party.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, will make it as a summer dress next time in a stretch fabric with no zip.
Conclusion:
Easy, fun to sew, flattering to wear if you are pear shaped like me.

Your dress is just lovely. Congratulations on looking past the photos on the Burda cover because they are very off putting to me. You found the bones of the dress and used them beautifully.
