The pattern is true to size. The pattern is multi-sized, having all sizes included in the package. I am a Small/Medium so I graded my pieces for my body needs.
This is the first time I used the pattern so I was making a garment for fitting purposes. I was also in a scrap art mood and wanted to sew randomly so I got out all my scraps of knits in black, grey and similar textured and stripped. Carefully I determined what fabrics were the same weight and hue, then I cut and manipulated my pattern pieces to make the best use of the scraps. I feel even though I made a scrap art garment that the overall fit and look is true to the pattern images. The garment hangs from the shoulders nicely and is perfectly roomy while not being oversized. Its a great pattern for lounge wear but classy enough to run to the store in.
There are few pieces in this pattern and the instructions are in perfect order and easy to follow. Be aware though the pattern allows for a 1/4" seam allowance only. The slim seam allowance is great if you are serging the garment, but if you are going to use a standard straight stitch machine I recommend you draft a 1/2" cutting line to all the pieces
I recommend this pattern, especially for beginners. I will be making this top again in a linen knit.
The red stitching is the frosting on the cake! Brilliant!
