City Bag
In this version of Margo I used Peltex as the stiffener, omitted all the interfacing and moved up to a sport zipper.
The Peltex made the bag too stiff. In order to gain any maneuverability out of it I had to trim it out of all the seam allowances.
The sport zipper had a more RTW look but because of the bulk, I was not able to properly topstitch the upper edge of the bag upon completion.
Innards
I also had used 1/2 in seam allowances, making all the necessary changes along the way. 1/4 in is just too tiny for heavy fabrics.
Still used batting in the handle as it gives the look I like best.
I varied the internal pocket sizes as I don't like having such narrow pockets near the side seams, and added a key loop.
Tweak, tweak, tweak. No plastic canvas was needed for the bottom, as the Peltex has already rendered it quite stiff.

Love your Margo bag. Give Soft and Stable a try. I have found that it works well to add structure, but not stiffness.
