Pattern Description: A straight-forward pattern for making jeans. The pattern instructions are easy to follow and go together fantastically.
Pattern Sizing:This is my favorite part about this pattern. The sizing is spot-on. I only needed a little adjustment and this was done on the side seams
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes. The pattern is well-represented on the envelope. And, it contains a enormous variety of sizes ~ children through adult.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were different from any I've used before; however, they were simple to follow. They are printed on the large pattern paper; so I went to online and downloaded the instructions from the Jalie website. It was much easier to follow this way.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The pattern is sized to fit a child through adult. This makes for some interesting cutting lines. To avoid making the wrong size, I traced my size on the original pattern using colored pencils. Then, I transferred my sized pattern to swedish tracing paper.
Fabric Used:I used a stretch demin.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I made my own waistband. The pattern has one that folds over and I wanted mine to two pieces.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I've already made a second pair.
Conclusion: This is now my TNT jeans pattern. I've blogged about my experience here: The Seasoned Homemaker
