Pattern Description: Toddlers' coat, jumper, top ,pants and hat: Loose fitting coat has contrast lining, long sleeves turned back to form cuffs, and toggle closing with appliques. A-line jumper has back zipper and patch pockets gathered to self-fabric binding. top has left shoulder snap closing, side slits and stitched hems. Pull-on pants have elasticized waist and ankles, patch pockets with inverted pleat and flaps. Hat has purchased cord ties and self-fabric tassel.
Pattern Sizing:Children 1-4. I made the size 2 jumper.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes, the instructions were very good, as Vogue's usually are.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I chose this out of my stash because the jumper had simple lines and in the beginning I was going to make pockets and this had pocket placement already marked.
Fabric Used: black finewale corduroy from Farmhouse Fabrics, quilting cotton for lining and felt for applique.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I chose to line this jumper as you would if you wanted it to be reversible, so the lining replaced the bodice facings. I dispensed with the zipper and put a hook and eye closure.
click here I trimmed the neck with rick rack and made a felt snowman applique. Originally I had been planning to make two snowman pockets, but ended up preferring one in the middle. The face is embroidered with button eyes and made without a pattern. click here
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I really like this simple pattern and can see many versions.
Conclusion: I paired it with purchased turtleneck and tights. I will include a photo with a model after Christmas! Update: Granddaughter wearing dress on Christmas in thumbnail.
